OK, I admit it.....I"m totally hopeless at keeping this site going.  No, it's not that I"ve had nothing to say for the last 7 months, but have actually been too busy to get here for more than a few minutes during which time I can catch up on what a few other people are up to.

For those of you who don't know our more interesting news, I'm now 6 months pregnant....we are expecting our second child in December.  It's funny what a huge difference there is between being pregnant with your first  and your second child.

The first pregnancy is so very exciting....to the point that you can barely think of anything else.  Particularly if you've experienced something like a miscarriage before, which essentially means that mixed in with the excitement is the anxiety of worrying whether your current pregnancy will result in a baby at the end of it.  You do all the research to work out what you need (or think you need) to buy for the baby, go shopping, discuss baby names, etc.  It really is a time of excitement, particularly as the pregnancy progresses.

The second pregnancy....it's still exciting, but not to the point of being unable to think of anything else.  The anxiety from a previous miscarriage is gone because you know that you can carry a baby to term (obviously everyone would have a different experience here), and until recently I tended to even forget I was pregnant simply because my little boy takes up so much of my time and energy that there is little time to think of anything else.  It's when I lie in bed at night and feel the baby kicking that I suddenly remember the baby and realise that it's really not that long until it will be born!!  Even the number of appointments at the hospital are dramatically reduced for the second pregnancy!!  And as for baby names...pffffttttt, we've barely thought about that, though I guess we'll have to put our thinking caps on sometime in the next couple of months!

To finish off, here are a few photos of Nathan from our recent holiday at a farmhouse near Parkes.

Happy 1st Birthday Nathan!!

It is so hard to believe that a year has passed since Nathan entered our lives...sometimes it feels like it was just last week, and other times it seems like there was never a time without him.  He has turned into a little person, walking everywhere now (he doesn't crawl anymore), saying a few simple things, communicates well using actions and pointing, can play by himself for a while, loves books though won't always sit still for the entire book, and screaming/crying when he's unhappy (often this is when I've taken the car key away from him!).  Andrew and I think he's just perfect, and he brings us so much happiness.

Anyway, here's a trip down memory lane....
